Nestled in the Arroyo Seco on the west side of Pasadena, the Rose Bowl hosts “the granddaddy of them all”- the annual New Year’s Day Rose Bowl Game. Designed by noted Pasadena architect Myron Hunt, the stadium was built by the Tournament of Roses Association in 1922 and presented to the City of Pasadena.

The Beverly Ranch orange grove was established in 1880 by Will & Elizabeth Eddy. After Mr. Eddy died, Elizabeth married John Fisk & they built the house in 1890. The grove is still in operation, the house is a private residence.

Completed at the end of 1927, the Pasadena City Hall was designed by San Francisco architects Bakewell and Brown. The 170,000-square-foot building, with its 206 foot tower, can be seen in numerous movie and TV series.

Over 500 tufa spires, ranging from 11,000 to 100,000 years old, rise up to 140 feet from the bed of the Searles Dry Lake basin. The Trona Pinnacles can be seen in movies and TV series, a Lady Gaga music video and commercials.

When the historic beachfront Hotel del Coronado opened in 1888 just across the San Diego Bay from San Diego, the 399-room resort hotel was the largest in the world. It is the second largest wooden structure in the US.

The birthplace of Richard Nixon, 37th US President, is on the grounds of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Museum in Yorba Linda. It was built in 1912 from a mail-order kit by Francis Nixon, on family ranchland.

Ronald Reagan Library & Museum presents the life of Ronald Reagan as a student, athlete, actor, politician and U.S. President. Exhibits include Air Force One, a Gold Star Families Memorial and a recreation of the Oval Office.
