Hotel del Coronado, Coronado, San Diego County

Hotel del Coronado

Considered by many to be an American treasure, the Hotel del Coronado has played host to US Presidents, celebrities and international dignitaries. When it opened in 1888 just across the San Diego Bay from San Diego, the 399-room beachfront resort hotel was the largest in the world. It is the second largest wooden structure in the United States. The Del is listed as a California Historical Landmark and National Historic Landmark.
