Aluminaire House

The first all-metal house in the United States was built in a short 10 days as a case study in New York in 1931. It was purchased and moved to Palm Springs in 2017; reassembly started in 2023 on a parking lot of the Palm Springs Art Museum.

Marjie Building

From the City’s “Historical Resources of Placentia” interactive map, the Marjie Building was the first brick building finished in the Placentia townsite. Bendix Baker built the two-story brick hotel and retail building in 1910.
