Griffith Park Observatory, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County

Griffith Observatory

In December, 1912, Griffith J. Griffith offered the City of Los Angeles $100,000 for an observatory to be built on the top of Mount Hollywood. Construction finally began in June, 1933, and the Observatory opened to the public on May 14, 1935.

Anaheim Convention Center

Since it opened in July 1967, the Anaheim Convention Center has since undergone several cosmetic renovations and seven expansions, the most recent completed in 2017. It is the largest exhibit facility on the West Coast with almost 1.8 Million sq ft of exhibit and meeting space.

Huntington Beach Pier, Huntington Beach, Orange County

Huntington Beach Pier and Pier Plaza

In 1903, a wooden pier was built in Pacific City to attract people from the inland communities to this resort. Henry E. Huntington brought the Pacific Electric Railway to town in 1904, turning it into a recreational attraction for travelers on the line and the city was renamed Huntington Beach in his honor.
