The Hill-Carrillo Adobe in Santa Barbara was built in 1826 by Daniel Hill for his bride Rafaela Luisa Ortega y Olivera, granddaughter of José Francisco Ortega, founder and first Comandante of the Royal Presidio of Santa Barbara.

The Warner Grand Theatre opened in San Pedro in 1931. It was one of three Art Deco/Moderne “neighborhood picture palaces” built by Warner Brothers Studio in the Los Angeles area. The City of Los Angeles acquired the theater in 1996.

A small building made of adobe bricks that Lawrence & Pauline Lushbaugh built in the late 1930s in what is now Corona del Mar became the office of the Sherman Foundation, founded by Arnold Haskell to honor mentor Moses Sherman, in 1956.

The Glendale Civic Auditorium was part of the Verdugo Municipal Recreation Center built in Glendale as a WPA project in 1938. It was designed by local architect John A. Grundfor in a Spanish Colonial Revival style with other influences.

The Carousel House located in Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara was built in 1997-8 to house an historic 1916 Herschell Three-Abreast Carousel, one of three machines produced by the Allan Herschell Factory in the 1915-1917 time frame.
