In 1922 the Community Arts Association purchased the old Lobero, which had fallen into disrepair, and turned to the community for the support to build a new theatre, It opened in 1924 on the site of Jose’s original opera house.

The City of Redlands was incorporated in 1888. By 1900, it was known as “The City of Millionaires.” In 1986, an ordinance created the Historic & Scenic Preservation Commission which has identified 8 historic districts and 100s of houses.

Due to fund raising and building difficulties, it was over 9 years before the final corner-stone was placed, on March 7, 1882, for a building to be used by both the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) and Masons in San Diego.

Beach Center Station at Main and Olive in downtown Huntington Beach opened in 1935 with banners, speeches and music. It was designed by Louis A. Simon and built by L.F. Dow of Los Angeles as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project.

The cornerstone of St. Mary Magdalen Chapel in Camarillo was laid on July 1, 1913. The mission-style chapel was dedicated by the Bishop at a ceremony on July 4, 1914, attended by most of the townspeople coming in flag-draped cars.
