The Colton Carnegie Library was built in 1908 through a $10,000 grant from the Carnegie Foundation. The library itself moved to a larger building in 1982 and this building now serves as the Colton Area Museum.

The Woelke-Stoffel House, one of the oldest Queen Anne style houses in Anaheim, was built in 1894 by John Woelke. The house was purchased by Peter Stoffel in 1907. The house is now in Founder’s Park managed by Anaheim Heritage Services.

After a fire destroyed the original 1886 station in San Bernardino, the current Santa Fe Depot was constructed in 1918. Opening on July 15, the depot was declared to be a “monument to the Santa Fe and the town the railroad built.”

The Olinda Oil Museum is a 12-acre historical park in Brea where Edward Doheny found crude oil in 1897. The site includes Olinda Oil Well #1, which is still producing oil and the former field office building built in 1912.

The Motel Inn in San Luis Obispo was the world’s first ‘Motor Hotel’ or motel, opening on Dec 12, 1925 as the Milestone Mo-Tel. The motel changed owners many times before closing in 1991. Most of the buildings were torn down by 2010.

One year ago, Disneyland Resort closed its theme parks, Downtown Disney & hotels in response to the pandemic. Recently released state guidelines will allow Disneyland & other SoCal theme parks to reopen, with restrictions, after April 1.

Garden Grove Historical Society owns & maintains the Stanley Ranch Museum & Historical Village. There are 17 historic original & replica buildings including the Ware-Stanley House, the Disney Garage and the 1st Garden Grove fire station.
