Colton Carnegie Library, Colton, San Bernardino County

Colton Carnegie Library

The Colton Carnegie Library was built in 1908 through a $10,000 grant from the Carnegie Foundation. Architect Franklin Burnham designed the Neoclassical building – the only one of this style in the city. The library itself moved to a larger building in 1982 and this building now serves as the Colton Area Museum. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
