Java Lanes

Built in 1958, Java Lanes was the oldest bowling alley in Long Beach and the last of the authentic Polynesian style bowling centers in So Cal. In 2004, the property was sold and Brookfield Homes built 79 condominiums on the site.

Pacific Ballroom

The Pacific Ballroom repurposed the Long Beach Arena in 2013. The Arena was the 1st Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center building, opening in 1962. Along the exterior wall is “Planet Ocean”, one of Wyland’s Whaling Walls.

Walter Pyramid

The Pyramid opened on Nov 30, 1994. The CSU Long Beach icon rises 18 stories, each side of its perimeter measures 345 feet. It was renamed the Walter Pyramid in 2005 to acknowledge a generous donation from Mike & Arline Walter.
