Pacific Ballroom
Completed in 2013, the Pacific Ballroom repurposed the Long Beach Arena which, with the Long Beach Convention Center and Long Beach Performing Arts Center, comprise the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center. The Arena was the first building of the Center, opening in 1962. Along the exterior wall of the drum-shaped Arena is “Planet Ocean”, one of environmental artist Wyland’s Whaling Walls, which was dedicated on July 9, 1992.
