Cherry Avenue Lifeguard Station, Long Beach, Los Angeles County

Cherry Avenue Lifeguard Station

Built in 1938, the Cherry Avenue Lifeguard Station was a standard 2-story station at the foot of Rainbow Pier off Linden Avenue before it was moved to the end of Cherry Avenue in 1965. Parts of other stations were added on top, metal siding covered the wood and it became the Long Beach Lifeguard Headquarters. It is a City of Long Beach Historic Landmark.
