Sid Grauman opened the first grand cinema palace in Los Angeles, the Million Dollar Theatre, at the corner of 3rd and Broadway in 1918. The prominent and elaborate Churrigueresque style decoration was expertly sculpted by Joseph Mora.

The Minnie Palmer Residence in Chatsworth, also known as The Homestead Acre, is the only remaining homestead cottage in the San Fernando Valley. It was built by Minnie’s parents, James and Rhonda Hill between 1911 and 1913.

The two-story Citizen News Building in Hollywood, constructed between 1930 and 1931, served as the headquarters for the Hollywood Citizen-News, operated by Harlan Palmer & his family, from 1931 until the paper ceased publication in 1970.

The oldest remaining synagogue building in Los Angeles was built in the Greek Revival style in 1909 for the congregation of Sinai Temple. The Welsh Presbyterian Church moved in after Sinai Temple moved to the mid-Wilshire area in 1925.
