The Title Guarantee & Trust Building, a highrise on Pershing Square in Los Angeles, was built in 1930. It was designed by architects John and Donald Parkinson and is consdidered one of the most striking Art Deco structures in the city.

Hotelier John McEntee Bowman partnered with the architectural team of Schultze & Weaver and Italian muralist Giovanni ‘John’ Smeraldi to create the Los Angeles Biltmore, “one of the first great hotels in the western United States.”

The Bradbury Building in Los Angeles, built for Lewis L. Bradbury, opened on New Year’s Day 1894. The building has operated as an office building for most of its history and is the oldest standing commercial building in central L.A.

The Greek Revival style Banning House in Wilmington was was built in 1863-64 by Phineas Banning, founder of the city of Wilmington and “Father of the Port of Los Angeles.” The house and surrounding land were acquired by the City in 1927.

City of Los Angeles Police Station No. 19 was built in Highland Park in 1925-26. After closing in 1983, it was acquired by the Los Angeles Police Historical Society in 1994, renovated and opened as the Los Angeles Police Museum in 2001.
