Knott's Berry Farm, Buena Park, Orange County

Knott’s Berry Farm

Walter & Cordelia Knott moved to Buena Park in 1920. In 1928, the first permanent building housed Cordelia’s tea room and berry market. Walter developed Ghost Town in 1940, eventually the first of Knott’s Berry Farm’s six themed areas.

La Tour, Laguna Beach, Orange County

La Tour

La Tour, rising 60′ from Victoria Beach, was built in 1926 for Wm E Brown for beach access. In the 40s, owner Harold Kendrick hid coins around the tower’s base for children to find, contributing to the nickname Pirate’s Tower.
