Wolf’s Lair

Leslie Milton “Bud” Wolf was a Hollywood studio art director whose work was directly reflected in his subsequent real estate development. Wolf was a central figure in the “storybook” architectural style prevalent in Hollywood in the 1920s and his own residence, Wolf’s Lair in the Hollywood Hills, was the pinnacle of his efforts. Borrowing from realtor Jacqueline Tager’s description, Wolf’s Lair is nestled on nearly four acres atop a pristine promontory in Beachwood Canyon. The stunning replica of a Norman Revival Fairytale Castle has unrivaled 360 degree views of the Hollywood Reservoir, the Hollywood sign and the Griffith Observatory. Originally built in 1927, this singular eight-bedroom compound seamlessly blends history, architectural significance and natural beauty all amidst the spectacular backdrop of Hollywood’s most prized landmarks.
