Dana Point Harbor
Once a shallow cove nicknamed Killer Dana by surfers, two massive breakwaters built in the late 60s created Dana Point Harbor. Dedicated July 1971, the marina has over 2400 slips, a ten lane launch ramp, a fishing pier, shipyard, three yacht clubs, shopping, restaurants, and the Ocean Institute. It is the site of the annual Tall Ships Festival, Festival of Whales, and Holiday Boat Parade.
