You will travel over the Cold Spring Canyon Arch Bridge, the highest arch bridge in California, if you take CA 154 between Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez. It was the longest bridge of its kind in the world when it opened in 1964.

Completed in 1913, the Colorado Street Bridge in Pasadena was said to be the highest concrete bridge in the world. It fell into disrepair and was closed in 1989, but with Federal, State and local funds, was renovated & reopened in 1993.

The two blimp hangars that established Naval Lighter-Than-Air Station Santa Ana in Tustin were built in 1942. Constructed of Oregon Douglas fir, they are among the largest freestanding wooden structures in the world.
