The Long Beach Venus is modeled on a 1767 bronze sculpture by Christophe-Gabriel Allegrain entitlad “Venus Au Bain.” It held a prominent position in an alcove above the marquee of Fox West Coast Theater on Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach.

Heisler Park

Heisler Park in Laguna Beach was named after Howard G. Heisler, a member of the Laguna Company that bought the property from the Irvine Company in 1905. The park stretches along the bluffs on Cliff Drive from Aster Street to Diver’s Cove.
