The Pasadena Community Playhouse in Pasadena, as an organization was founded in 1917 by theater impresario Gilmor Brown. The Pasadena Community Playhouse, as a performance venue designed by Elmer Grey and as illustrated, opened in 1925.

The main U.S. Post Office building in Glendale was built in 1933-34. George M. Lindsey designed the building in an Italian Renaissance Revival style conforming to a rigid, classical symmetry associated with post offices of the period.

Tournament House, headquarters of the Tournament of Roses Assoc. in Pasadena, was, from 1914 to 1958, a winter, and favorite, residence of chewing gum magnate William Wrigley, Jr., and his wife, Ada. It was gifted to the City in 1958.

The Greek Revival style Banning House in Wilmington was was built in 1863-64 by Phineas Banning, founder of the city of Wilmington and “Father of the Port of Los Angeles.” The house and surrounding land were acquired by the City in 1927.

On Monday night/Tuesday morning, January 29-30, 2024, Space Shuttle Endeavour was moved from its temporary home to its new, permanent home in the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center at the California Science Center, completing the “Go for Stack” configuration of the Endeavour attached to an external fuel tank (the last mission-ready one in existence) and two solid rocket boosters (SRBs).

The Romayne Williams House in Pasadena is more commonly referred to as Hillmont, named for the adjoining streets of Hill Ave and Mountain St. Completed in 1887, it was designed by Harry Ridgway for early Pasadena settler Romayne Williams.
