Belmont Park

Full title to the Mission Beach Amusement Center, built by John Spreckels in 1925, was given to the City of San Diego in 1939. The name was changed to Belmont Park in 1954 when the City negotiated a twenty-year lease with Jack Ray.

Disneyland

When Disneyland opened on July 17, 1955, Main Street U.S.A. led visitors to Adventureland, Frontierland, Tomorrowland & Fantasyland. Main Street U.S.A. has changed very little and 13 of the original attractions are still operating today.

Sproul Museum

In 1870, Gilbert Sproul built a house for himself and his family near the planned path of the Southern Pacific Rail Road. After deeding 20+ acres to SPRR, Sproul surveyed a town site that was recorded officially as Norwalk in 1877.
