The oldest park in the city of Fullerton, Hillcrest Park, got a new feature in May, 2017, as part of a larger renovation project. The Pinewood Stairs connect Lions Field on the north side of the park with the highest peak of the main park.

The North Atwater Bridge in Los Angeles provides access across the Los Angeles River between the residential area of Atwater Village and, via an underpass under the I5, the Crystal Springs Picnic Area of Griffith Park.

Built as part of the Westwood Village development, the Fox Westwood Theatre was designed by Percy Parke Lewis in a Spanish Mission style. Since it opened on August 14, 1931, the theater was exclusively a first run movie palace.

Parkers’ Lighthouse, a restaurant on the east side of the entrance into Rainbow Harbor in Long Beach, anchors one end of Shoreline Village that was built in 1982 as part of a larger effort to revitalize Long Beach’s shoreline.

From the City’s “Historical Resources of Placentia” interactive map, the Calvary Church, built in 1926, is significant not only for its Spanish Colonial/Gothic architecture, but also for its place in the broad patterns of Placentia history.

The Spanish Colonial-style Gilbert Kraemer House, built in 1918, is the last residence of the Kraemer family left standing in Placentia. Unlike most ranch estate houses, it had a tennis court and swimming pool, but no barn.

The Civic Clock Tower on the southwest side of City Hall in Riverside is one of numerous City-designated monuments and memorials. Built in 1996, It was dedicated in 1971 “In Honored Memory of Officers Christiansen and Teel Killed in Line of Duty April 2, 1971.”
