The remnants of a New Deal-era sewage treatment plant in Laguna Beach, a ground level digester tower and a small “lighthouse” up on the hillside that covered the digester air vent, will be renovated as part of a city improvement project.

Heisler Park

Heisler Park in Laguna Beach was named after Howard G. Heisler, a member of the Laguna Company that bought the property from the Irvine Company in 1905. The park stretches along the bluffs on Cliff Drive from Aster Street to Diver’s Cove.

Hotel Laguna

Henry Goff built the Alpha Hotel on the site of Hotel Laguna in Laguna Beach in 1888. It was purchased, expanded and renamed Hotel Laguna in 1897 by Joseph Yoch. Today’s California Mission-style three-story building opened in 1930.

Hangover House

LA architect William Alexander designed & built the Hangover House in Laguna Beach for his friend, travel writer & adventurer Richard Halliburton, in 1937. The Moderne house was built on a hilltop w/commanding views of the Pacific Ocean.
