Laguna Beach Presbyterian Church

Tracing its roots back to an adult Sunday school for vacationers in the 1890s, a small Presbyterian congregation in what would be Laguna Beach built its first chapel, known as The Little Brown Church, in 1915. The congregation grew with the community of Laguna Beach and a new, larger sanctuary, dedicated in 1928, was built on the same site. The ReVisioning Task Force of 2001 led to the Sanctuary Revitalization program that included seismic retrofitting, restoration and renovation of the entire sanctuary building. Work began in 2006, the congregation moved out of the sanctuary to worship in the adjacent Fellowship Hall in 2007 and the fully restored sanctuary was rededicated on January 24, 2010.
