Petersen Building
The two-story Petersen Building, at the corner of Hollywood Blvd and Orange Dr, was built in 1929 as the home of a local Cadillac dealership. The restrained Art Deco style showroom, with arched windows spanning the two stories of the exhibition space, was designed by the architectural firm of Meyer & Holler, the same firm responsible for many of Hollywood’s most notable landmarks including Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on the next block. The 61,317 square feet of retail space is currently shared by Marshalls and La La Land souvenirs, gifts and collectables. The building is listed as a contributing structure in the Hollywood Boulevard Commercial and Entertainment District on the National Register of Historic Places.
