SoFi Stadium

The SoFi Stadium site in Inglewood was previously home to the Hollywood Park thoroughbred race course. Hollywood Park is now an entertainment complex and master-planned neighborhood anchored by the stadium. SoFi Stadium was designed by HKS and consists of the stadium itself, a pedestrian plaza and the 6,000-seat Youtube Theater performance venue. Opened in September 2020, the fixed-roof, 70,240-seat indoor-outdoor stadium is home to the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, as well as the annual LA Bowl in college football. Above the stadium is an independently supported translucent canopy which covers the stadium proper, the adjacent pedestrian plaza and the attached performance venue. The stadium will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2028 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in a proposed split format with the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
