MCAS Tustin Aerial View

The two blimp hangars that established Naval Lighter-Than-Air Station Santa Ana, redesignated MCAS Tustin in 1979, were built in Tustin in 1942. Tustin resident Jeff Gaines contributed this aerial view of MCAS Tustin from a recent flight over the hangars that provides some good perspective of how big the hangars are and much space this landmark occupies in his “backyard”.
