The Electric Fountain
Beverly Gardens Park was created in 1931 on land donated by Beverly Hills residents. The Electric Fountain, one of the first of its kind in the United States, features a sculpture by Merrel Gage of a Tongva Native American, an homage to the area’s early inhabitants whose settlements, dating back to the 1500s, were along the streams that flowed from the canyons above the city.
