Elephant Packing House, Fullerton, Orange County

Elephant Packing House

Built in the Mission Revival style by the Union Pacific Railroad in 1924, the Elephant Packing House was initially leased to the Elephant Orchards of Redlands to pack its Elephant Brand Valencia oranges. In 1932, the Chapman family subleased the facility to pack their Old Mission Brand Valencia oranges. The building is one of the last remaining packing houses in Fullerton and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
