Dana Point Elevator
The Dana Point Elevator, started in 1930, would provide access to the Dana Point Inn (see The Arches) from a pocket beach below. The doorway provided entry for a 165-foot-long tunnel to the elevator which would take guests 135 feet up to the hotel lobby. Like the Inn, the project was abandoned due to the 1929 stock market crash. An Orange County Historical Site.
