In 1922, the Fullerton Improvement Company built the Pomona Court, designed by locally prominent architect Frank Benchley, on the model of bungalow courts that had spread throughout Southern California from Pasadena since 1909.

A new building for the Fullerton Library, funded by the WPA, was completed on Christmas Eve of 1941. The library moved to a new location in 1973 and the building was repurposed, changing its name to the Fullerton Museum Center in 1985.

The Hunt Branch Library served as one of two branches of the Fullerton Public Library from 1962 until 2013. The mid-century modern facility was designed by architect William Pereira and gifted to the city by the Norton Simon Foundation.

The 2nd home of the Masonic Temple in Fullerton was built in 1920 at a cost of $115,000. It was designed by Frank Benchley incorporating the Mission/Spanish Revival style. The Temple became the center of social and charitable events.

In 1887, George & Edward Amerige arranged to buy 430 acres of land north of Anaheim and on July 5, Edward drove a stake in a field at what is now the corner of Harbor Blvd & Commonwealth Ave, and the town of Fullerton was born.

Built by Brown Street Clock Company in 1905 for $150, this clock was installed for Stalmer’s Jewelers around 1910. Billie Stedman bought Stalmer’s in 1928 and moved the clock with his business to its present location in 1940.

Built for $11,000 in 1929, the Dewella Apartments were funded by Herman & Edna Bruns, as a memorial to their only daughter, Dewella Bruns Seaburg. The deed states that the Art Deco neon sign with her name must stay on site.
