In 1932, the Beverly Hills City Council checked out of the Beverly Hills Hotel to move into a new civic center that included City Hall, police and fire stations, an emergency hospital, a library and a post office under one vast roof.

The Union 76 station at Crescent Dr and Little Santa Monica Blvd in Beverly Hills is a true icon of Mid-Century Modernism. It was designed by architect Gin Wong of Pereira & Assoc in 1960. Construction was completed in 1965.
