Christie Realty Building
Christie Realty Building, also known as the Wax Museum Building, is a two-story office and retail structure on Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood. Designed by prominent architect and set designer Carl Jules Weyl and built in 1928, the Spanish Colonial Revival style building features arched doorways at street level and arched windows topped with fine Churrigueresque detailing on the upper story. The building’s second story was originally home to the private Embassy Club that catered to film stars. The Hollywood Wax Museum has been a tenant of the building since February 1965. Snow White Waffle Shop, later the Snow White Cafe, opened in 1946. It abruptly closed in June 2024. It has been reported that it is being refurbished as an extension/cafe to the Wax Museum. The building is a contributing structure to the Hollywood Boulevard Commercial and Entertainment District on the National Register of Historic Places.
