Placentia National Bank Building

The City of Placentia provided this information about the Placentia National Bank Building in its very helpful “Historical Resources of Placentia” interactive map: The Placentia National Bank Building was built by A.S. Bradford in the fall of 1910. He started the two-story brick building immediately after the town site ceremony. It was built to house the new Placentia National Bank. When the building was built, there was a lodge hall upstairs. In 1926 the Placentia National Bank closed its doors. In 1930 the Bank of Italy, which became the Bank of America, opened. In spite of the boards on the windows and the first-floor alterations, the building has not been altered to the point that it could not be stored.
