Regal Shoes Building
The Regal Shoes Building on Hollywood Blvd was designed by the renowned Los Angeles architectural team of Walker and Eisen. The two-story building, constructed in 1939, is a quintessential example of the Streamline Moderne style with its rounded corners and porthole windows. An online source indicates that the building was last sold in 1996 and summarizing several others, in the mid-2000s, the building was used as a cafeteria by people working in the Scientology offices in the former Guaranty Building across the street. The logo above the door is used by the Sea Organization, or Sea Org, the upper echelon management staff within the Church of Scientology. It is unclear if CoS still owns or uses the building. The building is a contributing structure in the Hollywood Boulevard Commercial and Entertainment District on the National Register of Historic Places.
