Hollywood Congregational Church
Hollywood Congregational Church is an historic former church facing on Hollywood Boulevard. The church was organized on September 14, 1914, and its first home on Hollywood Boulevard was dedicated in October 1920, after a three-year effort and at a cost of $61,000. In 1935, the church added a second hall at a cost of $13,000, and a third and final hall was added in 1947. From 1986 to 1993, the building served as headquarters for the Screen Actors Guild. In 1995, the Church of Scientology purchased the church to house offices for the Association for Better Living and Education International (A.B.L.E.). It is a contributing property, and only one of two institutional buildings on Hollywood Boulevard, in the Hollywood Boulevard Commercial and Entertainment District on the National Register of Historic Places.
