Irvine Company Headquarters
The Irvine Company headquarters in Newport Beach were completed at 500 and 550 Newport Center Drive, steps away from Fashion Island, in 1969. An additional tower at 520 Newport Center Drive was added in 2015. Architect William Pereira’s original 1960s Irvine Ranch master plan included the first concept for the tower. The building’s design was realized by the world-renowned architect Henry Cobb, who also designed downtown Los Angeles’ 72-story U.S. Bank Tower 1989. Almost half of Newport Center’s 2.5 million square feet of office space is leased to companies providing financial services including Bank of America and Pacific Trust Bank. At 315 feet tall, the tower at 520 Newport Center was Orange County’s tallest building until the towers at Spectrum Center opened.
