Ambassador Auditorium
The 1262-seat Ambassador Auditorium, often referred to as the “Carnegie Hall of the West,” is located on the historic Ambassador College campus in Pasadena. It was built in 1975 under the guidance of Herbert W Armstrong, the founder of The Worldwide Church of God (WCG), for religious services and as a concert hall for public performances celebrating the performing arts. The auditorium was originally furnished in Iranian onyx, African teak, wool carpets from India and gold leaf overlay. It is known for its nearly perfect orchestral acoustics. The WCG ceased operations on the property in 1995 and sold parcels to the Harvest Rock Church. The Auditorium continues operating as a venue for conferences, orchestral performances and church services.
