Heritage Square Museum

Heritage Square is a living history museum located at the southern end of Arroyo Seco in Los Angeles. In 1969, the Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Commission helped established the Cultural Heritage Foundation which organized Heritage Square as a last-chance haven for architecturally and historically significant Victorian buildings, saving them from demolition. Buildings include the Palms Depot, Mt. Pleasant House, Longfellow-Hastings Octagon House, the John J. Ford House, Lincoln Avenue Methodist Church, the Shaw House and the Hale House. Many of the buildings are Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monuments, some are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
