Crowley House
The Crowley House in Thousand Oaks, also referred to as the Goebel House, was built in 1910 on what was then the Newbury Ranch for newlyweds Frank and Mae Casey Crowley. In the early 1920s it served as a real estate office for the first housing development in the Conejo Valley. It was sold in 1925 to Dr. Eugene Parks and over time was home to Conejo Valley poet laureate Marie Parks and Louis and Kathleen Goebel of Jungleland fame. The 2-story, 5-bedroom house still has its hardwood floors, mahogany beams, and volcanic rock fireplace and houses the Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning enterprise. It is a Ventura County Historical Landmark.
