Independence Hall
Knott’s Independence Hall is an exact, brick-by-brick replica of the original in Philadelphia. Walter Knott’s personal labor of love, it is the nation’s only exact replica of the Philadelphia landmark. Consistent with Knott’s wishes, this Independence Hall remains a free-admission resource. The Hall is packed with exhibits, a replica Liberty Bell, presidential artifacts and a recreation of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It was dedicated by Walter Knott, age 75, on July 4, 1966 — 190 years after the Second Continental Congress officially adopted the Declaration of Independence.
