Chapman Building
The Chapman Building in Fullerton was designed by Anaheim architect M. Eugene Durfee and constructed for Charles C. Chapman, Fullerton’s first mayor. Chapman was originally from Chicago and brought the idea of a “skyscraper” building design with him. When it was built in 1923, it was the tallest building in Orange County at 65 feet and remains the most outstanding commercial structure in the City. The building is a Fullerton Historical Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
