Stanley Ranch Museum and Historical Village

Garden Grove Historical Society owns and maintains the 2-acre Stanley Ranch Museum and Historical Village. There are 17 historic original and replica buildings, some dating back to the 19th century. The Ware-Stanley House, built in 1891, is the main feature. The Disney Garage, Disney’s first animation workshop in 1923, is filled with a collection of Disney memorabilia. Other buildings include the city’s first lumber business, post office, barber and shoe-repair shop and the second school house. The Fire Station, a replica of the first Garden Grove station, houses a magnificent 1926 La France fire truck. The Schnitger House is a California bungalow built in 1916. It is an Orange County Historical Site.
