Centennial Plaza
Designed by architect Ron Yeo, the 3-ton, 24-foot clock tower is the prominent feature of Centennial Plaza in Corona del Mar. Sand-colored mosaic tiles replaced the no-frills concrete, hand-painted tiles decorate benches curling through the plaza, and a time capsule and stone monument bearing the names of donors who contributed to the plaza’s construction complete the city’s commemoration of its founding in 1904.
