Heritage Park
Adjacent to Old Town San Diego, Heritage Park (or Heritage County Park) contains six restored Victorian homes and the city’s first synagogue, the Temple Beth Israel, which were relocated one by one to this site during the 1970s and ’80s. The homes show the Victorian era’s diversity of architecture. While it is no longer considered preservation best practice to move an historic structure out of its original site and context, this mini village is a window into the history of San Diego.
