Ware-Stanley House
The Ware-Stanley House was built in 1893 on a 40 acre ranch owned by Edward G. Ware, who moved to the area in 1876. His daughter, Lillian Agnes, the first native white female born in Garden Grove, was an early school teacher. Agnes married Arthur C. Stanley in 1905 and lived with her family in the house after the death of her parents. Two acres of the ranch were deeded to the Garden Grove Historical Society in 1970. The house was moved there in 1971 as the prominent feature of the Stanley Ranch Museum & Historical Village. It is an Orange County Historical Site.
