Del Prado Gateway Arch
The Del Prado Gateway Arch in Dana Point, dedicated in 2015, commemorates the city’s history from novelist Richard Henry Dana, whose name was used by the USGS on maps as early as 1885 for the highest point of the Headlands, to developer Sidney Woodruff, whose Dana Point Lantern District and Dana Point Inn (see The Arches) developments promotion brought interest to the area, but failed with the 1930s financial crisis.
