Dewella Apartments
Built for $11,000 in 1929, the two-story, eight-unit Dewella Apartments were funded by Herman Henry and Edna Bruns, Iowa transplants, as a memorial to their only daughter, Dewella Bruns Seaburg. It’s written in the deed that the Art Deco neon sign, illuminating her name, must stay on site. The structure is a monument in local development as one of the early apartment complexes in Fullerton, but it is also a remarkable architectural creation in the Spanish Colonial style. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and a City Of Fullerton Local Landmark
