Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System
Located on 3,500 acres in the Mojave Desert, the Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System (ISEGS) is the largest solar thermal power plant in the world. The project consists of over 300,000 mirrors that focus sunlight on receivers on each of three towers, generating steam to drive turbines and produce electricity – enough to serve over 140,000 homes.
